Local Physician Awarded by Virginia Premier Health Plan

Winchester Family Health Center (WFHC), located at 525 Amherst Street in Winchester, Virginia is pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel Fitzsimmons, MD, has been awarded the Practitioner Golden-Globe Award by Virginia Premier Health Plan (VPHP). This award represents Dr. Fitzsimmons’ fundamental focus and commitment to “excellence and quality” in providing care for his community. On Thursday, August 18, 2011, VPHP presented Dr. Fitzsimmons with an award plaque and lunch for the entire office. The staff of WFHC gathered to celebrate Dr. Fitzsimmons and his achievement, capturing photos of the milestone moment for the physician.

Dr. Daniel Fitzsimmons is an outstanding participating practitioner with Virginia Premier Health Plan, Inc. (VPHP) since 2006. He attended Georgetown University School of Medicine with residency and internship at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College. He is a Board Certified Pediatrician. Shenandoah Valley Medical System, Inc, and its community health center network which includes WFHC, is accredited by The Joint Commission.
