relax (part two)
So, like I said, I'm now relaxing it up somewhere in Hawthorn, a bit further away from all the bustle in the city. Which is probably a good thing, since I've seen pretty much everything I planned to, and I could really do with a day or two to just catch my breath before heading back into the chaos at work.
Daniel (who I'm staying with out here) has the most amazing view of the CBD from his window — I'll try and take a photo, but I don't think it'll do it justice. This place is up on a hill, and apart from one tree, has a panoramic view of the skyline, which looks great at sunset. Especially with the clouds rolling in like they did tonight.
Today was really just more relaxing. We caught up with Von again and grabbed some lunch, then a smoothie at viva juice down on Glenferie Road. And damn those things are huge. I've still got the dregs of a Rasberry Rush sitting next to me.
So the plans from here: I'm probably going to walk down to Coles tonight to grab some more food, then just relax tonight, keep reading The Bourne Identity (which I brough over and only started reading last night). Tomorrow I'm catching up with Bart, who I used to share a room with back in the Eclipse days. And if I get a chance I'll say bye to James, and I might catch ex-Cube7 boy Ben if he's back in town. This whole long weekend-a-week-late is freaking me out.
