Retro-modern apartments near The Rocks.
I don't claim to be an expert on architectural trends but I think they're more modernist than brutalist. They look cool from the outside but I can't imagine they're the most comfortable place to live.

Is there still a poster with the words "Jesus Lives" (or similar) in one of the windows?
From memory some of them had roof top gardens with awesome views.

These are actually public housing.....with the views of the opera house and the harbour - i think tenants would / could put up with a little discomfort - yes some aprtments have roof top gardens.

Rosemary - yeah, there's still a poster along those lines in one of the windows facing the bridge. I think I got it in another photo.
And yeah, some did have rooftop gardens, and pretty awesome views. Which would make up for some discomfort.
