It's About to Get Cold
Well, I've finally made it to Copenhagen. I'm cheating and using an old photo from London on this post but everything outside is littered with umlauts and o-slashes, so I'm definitely in Denmark now.
You know you're in for some cold weather when the giant neon thermometers on the side of buildings can show temperatures from +20° C down to -20° C (the BBC's forecast for Friday has snow and -2° C... it actually snows here I'll be a happy man).
Tomorrow's first mission will be finding a tasteful Danish designer beanie.

Do designer beanies exist?

I think that depends how you define "designer."
If you're talking designer = brand, then it turns out you can get an Armani beanie, a Ben Sherman beanie or a Diesel beanie. Among others.
If that's all too designer there's always a game nerd beanie out there.
And in the Googling that brought us those two, I also discovered that Australia's own Alice Springs hosts a Beaniefest, where people can "admire the latest crop of hand crafted beanies."
I am, you are, we are (beanie-clad) Australians.

Which begs the question - beanies in Alice (middle of the desert) Springs... why? I can verify - my friend owns a genuine Alice Beaniefest beanie. With ear flaps!
