My Year in Cities - 2006
I've never bothered with that list-the-places-I've-been web meme in the past, mostly because each year's list would consist solely of Perth (which, as the place I live, hardly counts) and Melbourne. It hardly seems worth reporting a list containing only one item (and does one item even maketh a list?).
As it happens, last year's list is slightly more impressive. I think it's best illustrated by a chart.

Like I said, a slight change on the previous few years (woe was 2003, in which I didn't even leave Perth).
In case you're interested, the full list of places in which I've stayed at least one night, is as follows:
- Melbourne
- London, England *
- Bergen, Norway
- Voss, Norway
- Trondheim, Norway
- Ostersund, Sweden
- Gavle, Sweden
- Stockholm, Sweden
- Nieuwpoort, Belgium

* Indicates cities I visited more than once.
Whew. The coming year won't bring anywhere near that much travel excitement, so I think 2006 year will remain a personal best for the next while.
For the record, the photo on this post is of a car I stumbled across on a side street during my second visit to Bruges, Belgium. The fading mid-afternoon (!) light was just too good.

Wow. My list of zero cities is pretty pathetic in comparison to yours!

Would that car be a Mini?

Yes indeed: I believe it was a white (with orange rust-spots) Morris GT. Well spotted!
