Freeway Invader
I see this space invader every morning on the drive to work -- he's on the pedestrian bridge over the freeway just next to the city.
In other news, I may have accidentally ended up in a variety of camera stores last weekend and accidentally dropped my credit card on the counter and bought a Nikon D70.
These things happen.

OH MA GAWSH! It's finally happened ;)
I would have gone the 350D, but that's just me. At the moment I'm playing with a Lumix LC1 (Leica lens). It's totally hot. Alas I have to give it back.
Can't wait to see the shots ya take with your new toy :)

The tiled aliens are part of a "reality game" by a graf artist named Invader. You can join in the game with your own kits.

I actually went into the shop intending to get a 350D, but when I picked them up and had a play with the two, I really preferred the Nikon D70. It's a lot nicer in the hand, and the kit lens seems much, much better.

You won't regret having the D70. Just make sure it's running the latest firmware which seriously improves it.

Yeah, the shop had already upgraded the firmware, so it's all up to date and ready to roll...

The D70 is much better than the 350D. It feels like a proper SLR - the 350D is OK if you only have three fingers but not many of us do. Seriously - why make a small SLR?
