Another photo from Sculpture by the Sea over summer, which feels like so long ago.
We're definitely in winter now -- the Perth forecast uses the word 'showers' eleven times.

are those made of sand or are they real suitcases stuck in the sand? (coloring sand is totally probable. I think)

They were real suitcases... There were a huge stack of them -- that's just the highest corner of the pile, it probably went out at least 5 deep and maybe 10 wide?
